Movimento em Garopaba

No último sábado (15/4), um protesto reuniu mais de 800 pessoas na Barra da Lagoa Encantada, em Garopaba (SC), contra o projeto de construção de uma Estação de Tratamento de Esgoto.

O projeto, apresentado pela CASAN (Companhia Catarinense de Águas e Saneamento), prevê o lançamento de todo o esgoto tratado de Garopaba na Lagoa, berçário de camarão, tainha e outras espécies que até hoje alimentam famílias nativas que mantêm a tradição da pesca de tarrafa. A Lagoa faz parte do ecossistema que sustenta o turismo da cidade.

De acordo com os líderes do protesto, não foi feito um estudo de impacto ambiental e as comunidades de pesca artesanal ligadas à lagoa expressam a convicção de que os riscos e danos para a lagoa de receber os efluentes de uma ETE seriam imensos, mesmo com alto índice de eficiência no tratamento.

A qualquer momento, a FATMA, que concede a licença ambiental, poderá liberar a construção da ETE. Mas até agora os pescadores artesanais não foram ouvidos. Por serem considerados população tradicional, eles são amparados pelo Decreto Federal 6040/2007 e pela resolução 169 da Organização Mundial do Trabalho (OIT), no direito de serem consultados e participarem de diagnóstico de impacto de empreendimentos sobre os recursos naturais que utilizam.

De branco e de mãos dadas, pescadores, surfistas, moradores e apoiadores da causa gritaram palavras de ordem como "Salve a Lagoa" e "Não vamos deixar a Lagoa morrer!".

Unidas, diversas associações de moradores apoiadas por ONGs e grupos a favor da causa entregaram um parecer na Fundação do Meio Ambiente (FATMA) apresentando erros no projeto e no processo de licenciamento ambiental para construção da ETE. Agora, todos aguardam um parecer jurídico da FATMA.

Convidamos todos para participarem da grande manifestação em prol da preservação de nossa Lagoa de Garopaba.

Dia 15 de abril - Sábado às 9:00h

Local: Morro do Índio (barrinha), onde será realizado o "abraço simbólico" e o encontro de todo mundo.

- Pescadores com suas canoas, o encontro será as 8:00h na lage, após as fotos e filmagem do drone, navegar ate a barrinha.

- Surfistas com suas pranchas no Bar do Zado às 8:20h, em seguida caminhada pela praia ate a barrinha.

Esperamos todos bem animados com cartazes e faixas, vestidos de cor branca, com muita esperança e paz, unidos em um só objetivo: Impedir o que o sistema de saneamento de Garopaba despeje os efluentes no rio Linhares e na Lagoa de Garopaba!

Se chover, a manifestação será transferida para o dia 22/04.
