Have you been doing it wrong the whole time?

Wax is very much a matter of personal taste. Ask a hundred surfers how to wax their surfboard, what wax to use, ratio of basecoat to regular wax, etc., and you’ll likely get a hundred different answers. There is, however, a right way and a wrong way to rub a bar of wax on your shred sled. Waxing the bottom of your board, for instance, does not help to waterproof it and therefore make it go faster.

In the video above, Hurley breaks down the fundamentals of waxing your board so quickly that you could have the attention span of a marsupial and still get it. The brand of wax, how far up toward the nose you do it, and whether you start with basecoat, again, are all up to you.
