Kassia Meador has built a pretty damn good life for herself. For someone so laid back, she’s accomplished a lot–professional surfer, successful business owner, accomplished photographer and artist.
She had a relatively late start to surfing, but her rise was almost meteoric. At 16, just two years after she first started, she entered the Roxy Wahine Classic as her first foray into the competitive side of things. She won. Roxy picked her up and before long, she represented a large portion of what many surfers wanted: carefree, happy, creative, talented, stylish, and beautiful.
Her most recent endeavor is a collaboration with Slowtide, making a series of beach towels covered in her art. The video above is an ad for those towels, but it’s also a look into Kassia’s love for life, surfing, and Malibu.
